She does expect Steve, and because she likes and respects Steve she had invited him in in the kindest way she could. There had been politeness there.
When Lark shows up and demands, every wall she has goes up. She can still feel the ache of the bruise and the split skin on her cheek, the scratches scrapes from a poorly controlled fall to the deck, but it fades when her body goes back into fight or flight mode.
She doesn't know Lark and she doesn't trust him. She trusts Tommy, and that's the only thing that has her stepping aside so that Lark can enter the Falcon. Her staff is up against the wall just inside, but she doesn't reach for it. If he's here to hurt her, she has her own lightsaber at her hip and she has the Force to stop him.
